online & In person training

Why do i need to train my dog?

Obedience dog training is a great way to mentally stimulate your dog, there are also many practical benefits associated with training your dog as well. Let's say for example that you and your dog are taking a walk through the neighbourhood and you stop to greet somebody. If your dog is trained for sitting when you stop walking, he won't be jumping on anyone you encounter.

My plan consists of a video class of 30 to 40 minutes long once a week and a daily 10 to 15 minutes practice by you and your dog. That's it! For how long? as long as it takes depending on both of your needs.

Dog training should be a bonding experience between you and your dog.  My goal is to teach you how to train your dog. We will meet virtually through the course and you will discover how fun dog training can be.

What you get

  • Once a week 30 to 40 minutes in person or video-class with me, the trainer
  • Daily advice if needed
  • A dog training plan tailored to your and your dog's needs
  • A different exercise to practice every week
  • Lifetime support
  • Hands on Dog CPR & First Aid Course

What will Your dog learn

The program will be flexible and tailored to both of your needs, we will work from the framework below and add/ substract as we go.

  1. Walking by your side and without hassle.
  2. Left Turn and Right Turn following your lead.
  3. Stop, Sit and Stay when you stop during your walks.
  4. Sit and Stay from a Distance, perfect for indoors when you are heading out the door and your dog wants to follow you. There are also many  outdoor scenarios when you need to protect your dog . One example is to avoid your dog chewing something from the ground that might harm him, with the Sit and Stay command you can easily get to the object first and safely dispose it before your dog can reach it.
  5. Down, this command will calm down your dog if he gets over excited.
  6. Down and Stay, will teach your dog to calm down and stay calm.
  7. Down and Stay from a distance will teach your dog to calm down while you are not beside him
  8. Come, perfect for outdoors or indoors

What I am offering you is a personalized training program. Every dog is different as well as every situation. What works for you may not necessary work for your neighbour, that is why is important that you have constant access to a dog trainer who will guide you, I am here to help!

    off leash obedience

    Indoor obedience from distance 1

Caramel's breed belongs to the spitz family, a family that is known to be very good watch dogs. That can become a problem if you live close to a park like we do. People walking towards the park makes Caramel stressed. Solution: with off leash obedience training this behavior can be modified.

Caramel in stay position despite people walking outside, great job Caramel!

    My BIO

Hello my name is Adriana Dallaire, I worked with dogs most of my life. I've been living in Canada for 19 years, before I came to Canada I was working in Mexico as a Veterinarian and also finished a Master degree on Science in Biotechnology. In Canada I worked as a veterinary assistant and in 2012 I started working towards a Dog Trainer Certification. Since then I have been successfully helping people connect with their dogs in a more meaningful way. I have worked with clients in Montreal, in three different cities in Mexico and in Ottawa, a place I call my home. My certification was completed in 2014 in Dog Behaviour, Dog Obedience Training , Agility Training and Detection Training.

Why do I love Dog Obedience Training so much? While I was living in Mexico I worked closely with an animal rescue association and as a veterinarian I saw first hand the frustration so many people have when their dog misbehave.  In many instances they do not understand their dog's needs and as a consequence the dog develops bad habits that if not corrected they become a big problem. The owner gets tired, gives up and the dog ends up abandoned. I saw that happen so many times and I want to prevent that! Obedience training is a great way to set out boundaries, for a happy healthy living for both humans and their furry friends.
